
TCS Bags Multi-year Deal From Retail Giant Asda

TCS will implement multiple cloud-based ERP platforms to streamline Asda’s supply chain forecasting, buying and merchandising processes, HR processes, warehouse management, and ecommerce processes, as per economic times.
“We have partnered with TCS because they bring experience in retail technology transformation and innovation. We look forward to working with them to accelerate our digital transformation journey and to unlock the potential of our business,” said Mohsin Issa, chief executive officer, Asda.
“We are proud to extend our partnership with Asda and look forward to working closely with them to drive this massive enterprise reinvention,” said Abhijit Niyogi, business head, retail – UK and Europe, TCS.
Asda Stores Limited, doing business as Asda and also known as ASDA, is a British supermarket company. The company's headquarters are in Leeds, England. When the Asquith family united their retail business with the Associated Dairies firm of Yorkshire in 1949, the company was born. During the 1970s and 1980s, it expanded into Southern England, acquiring Allied Carpets, 61 major Gateway Supermarkets, and other businesses such as MFI Group.
