
India Clear About How to Mitigate Downsides of AI Says Rajeev

He presented his views on AI and policy surrounding the technology in a round-table discussion, “What should National Policymakers do?”, as per economic times.
"PM Narendra Modi has argued that the future of tech should be driven by international collaborations and coalition of nations rather than just a few countries," he said.
“For India, all things digital represent real goals and real objectives and AI for us is a kinetic enabler of the already expanding digital economy,” he added.
The conference, hosted by British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in Bletchley Park in Buckinghamshire, where famed British mathematician Alan Turing's team decrypted the Enigma code, brings together delegates from 27 countries. Furthermore, representatives from industry, public society, and AI specialists, including tech billionaire Elon Musk and OpenAI's Sam Altman, will attend the first global summit of its type to explore the global future of AI and its hazards.
On the first day of the summit, UK Technology Secretary Michelle Donelan outlined the UK government's ambition for safety and security to be at the forefront of AI advancements in order to capitalize on the immense potential that AI will offer. It comes on the heels of Sunak's major campaign to position the UK as a leader in investigating and testing new forms of AI, identifying Britain as the home of the world's first AI Safety Institute. He will participate in closed-door roundtables and conversations with international leaders.
